A student project. NME are starting a quarterly print publication, ‘The Cut’. This first publication explores pop music’s impact in society.

A design which appeals to the masses, disassociating itself from the typical audience usually related to pop music. A magazine for all.

Exploring the idea that pop music speaks to all, in individual ways, the design chose a bold but minimal colour pallet. Exploring the association faces and eyes have to our identity. An off-screen approach focused on the idea of removing a certain identity associated with pop music.
